The Northwest Boys’ Golf Team competed in the I-8 Conference Tournament at Cedar Creek G.C. with a team score of 313, thirteen strokes behind the Conference Champions Harper Creek. With today’s finish and the points accumulated in the leagues two jamboree events, the Mounties also finished in 4^th place overall.

The Mounties were led by juniors, Cody Rowe and Jake Brafford with 72 and 73 respectively and both earning a top 5 medal. Junior, Jarrett Osterberg posted an 83 and sophomore, Liam Renaud carded an 85 to score for the team.  Sophomore, Sullivan Mohlman and junior, Mason Beecher finished with 87 and 92 also playing in the event today.

“I figured that playing today at the same course where we posted our school records last week would be a bit challenging,” said Coach, Martha Cantlin.  “It’s not easy to come back so soon an not put added pressure and expectations on yourself.  However, we still finished with very solid team score.”

Upon completion of today’s event, the All-Conference Team was announced with both Jake Brafford and Cody Rowe earning those honors this spring.

The Mounties play tomorrow at Cascades in the annual Jackson County Invite.  Next week they will play in the pre-regional event on Monday at Island Hills, and will play at Bedford Valley on Thursday in another competitive tournament.
