The Northwest Athletic Department will compete in a new conference beginning in the Fall of 2027. The Mounties will be moving to the SEC (Southeastern Conference) in all sports after a supportive vote from the Northwest School Board Monday night. After 12 years in the I-8 Conference it was determined that SEC would provide long term stability with tremendous opportunities for growth. The SEC White Division will consist of:

Adrian, Chelsea, Jackson High, Northwest, Pinckney, Tecumseh, Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Lincoln.

Key contributing factors included the SEC's six measures that drive their focus and intent: 1) safety and security, 2) cultural values, 3) competitiveness, 4) athletic programming, 5) trust, and 6) geography (travel). The Northwest Athletic Department and Coaching staff is excited for this new adventure set to begin in 2027.
