Match #3 - Tuesday, Dec 16th vs Western

We had our best practice of the year on Monday and as we headed into a match against our crosstown rival Western Panthers on Tuesday, we had one goal in mind…..build on that successful practice and have the focus and energy translate into the match. We were not disappointed! Our best practice turned into the best match of the season for the entire squad.

The Boys were looking to rebound from a loss against Hastings and we didn’t waste any time, sweeping all 9 points in game one and getting 8 of 9 in game two to lock up the match before heading into the Baker games. We split the Bakers on the way to a 25-5 victory to push our record to 2-1 on the season. Once again Jake Brafford led the way on games of 179 and 246 for a 425 series, followed by Bode Rush 161, 222 (383) and DJ Slawinski 181,  166 (347).

The Girls started out the same as the Boys, taking 19 of 20 possible points in the team games, but we didn’t stop there as we took both Bakers to finish off a 29-1 victory. The win was fueled by our highest game of the season as the Girls put up an 864 in game one to help push us to 3-0 on the season. Casey Jahr led the scoring on games of 212 and 179 for a 391 series, followed by Avery Sitko 191, 163 (354) and Emily Cutler 180,154 (334).

The JV squad was led by Kiyah Adkins on games of 103 and 113 for a 216 series followed by Olivia Samons 99, 106 (205).

Up next is a non conference matchup for the Girls vs Lumen Christi on Wednesday and an intersquad scrimmage for the Boys and JV. Go Mounties!
