The 7th grade boys A basketball team won their second game of the season in dominating fashion 35-23 on Wednesday night. The Mounties had control of the game from the tip, playing swarming defense, creating many turnovers and getting easy looks at the basket. Northwest jumped out to a 7-2 lead after the first quarter led by Jace Corrigan scoring four of his eight points and EJ Williams scoring three of his team high nine points. Northwest extended their lead in the second with five of the 11 players scoring and tremendous pressure defense. Isaac Dreams, EJ, Jace, Blake and Colten all paced the Mounties offensively. Artie, Liam, Wyatt, Grant, Tripp and Tyler locked down Coldwater defensively. The final two quarters were more of the same with Mounties extending the lead at one point to 24 points. Northwest looks to keep momentum against a strong Marshall team on Thursday.
