8th Grade A Team Results:

The 7th grade boys A basketball team lost their second game of the season by the score of 26-37 to Harper Creek on Tuesday. This was a very competitive contest for much of the first half with each team trading baskets and no one getting more than a four point lead.  Unfortunately a poor shooting second half did the Mounties in with Harper Creek putting up 20 second half points to Northwests 11.  Colton Surbrook, Liam Anspaugh, Wyatt Perrine, Tyler McCann and Grant Whitney played tough defense off the bench.  Jace Corrigan and Blake Dalton each led the team in scoring with eight points each. The Mounties will look for their first win of the season this Thursday home against Western.

7th Grade B Team Results:

Mounties Dominate Harper Creek with Stifling Defense and Balanced Scoring

The 7th grade boys basketball B team hit the road last night and returned with a commanding 34–16 victory over Harper Creek, showcasing a relentless defensive effort and cohesive team play.

From the opening tip, the Mounties set the tone with aggressive defense, holding Harper Creek to just three points in the first quarter and five by halftime. Leading 7–3 after one and 14–5 at the break, the Mounties never looked back, maintaining control throughout the second half.

Offensively, Hunter McClintic led the charge with 9 points, followed closely by Adam Casanova who chipped in 8. Zaidyn Shuberg added 5, while Carter Bynum and Rhys Peterson each contributed 4 to round out the scoring.

The win evens the Mounties’ record at 1–1 on the season. They’ll look to build momentum when they host Western on Tuesday.
