The cross country teams competed at the MHSAA Region 14 at DeWitt high school on Friday.
The boy's team finished 10th out of 15 schools and the girl's team finished 12th out of 15 schools. Congratulations to Chloe Khon, who qualified for the MHSAA State Cross Country Championship for the 4th year in a row. There have been only 5 other girl's in Northwest history of cross country that have accomplished this feat. (Amy Lathrop, Kelli DeCamp, Amber Myers, Jessica Delaney and Katlyn Arnold) Khon had a season best time of 20:03.2, placing her 14th overall. Olivia Khon had a personal record of 22:13.4 placing 43rd. Eleanor Shirkey had a personal record of 30:34.9 and placed 84th. Mackenzie Fairley was 87th and Natalia Ernest was 88th.
In the boy's race Silas Shepherd had a personal record of 17:06.5 and placed 27th. Chase Lawrence was 45th and Adam Whitney was 49th, with times of 18:22.0 and 18:26.8, respectively. Gibson Goodrich was 72nd with a personal best time of 20:10.8 and Kolbe Uphaus had a personal best time of 20:22.6 finishing in 74th. Mattox Keathley finished in 79th place with a time of 21:03.0 and Griffin Mathews was right behind in 80th with a personal record of 21:09.3.
The cross country team will be competing in the Chris Jensen Memorial Run at Sharp Park on Monday, 10/27/25 with the girl's race at 4 pm and the boy's race at 4:45 pm .
