On Thursday, the cross country team competed in the Country Mill Invitational in Charlotte, with the boys' team placing 6th and the girls' team placing 9th. Sixteen runners achieved personal records, many cutting significant time from their previous records.
In the boys' races, Sawyer Baker cut a full minute from his PR, Mason Williams improved by 2 minutes, and Grant Whitney shaved off 2 and half minutes.
In the girls' races, Emerson Venhaus, Kat Villagomez, and Evelyn Oswald each shaved off over 1 minute, while Alayna Bess cut nearly 2 minutes from her time.
The team will be back at Country Mill on Tuesday for the Olivet Pink Invite.
